About Matt

Matt began his IT career in 1999, providing phone and chat technical support straight out of high school to help pay for college.

In 2001, Matt served as a technical writer for two different large corporations.

In 2004, Matt began work as a web developer, working mainly using HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and ActionScript.

In 2007, Matt graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Techology from NAU and began programming in VB.NET and C# at a smaller, local Tucson company. This job change allowed him to better learn how to create content management systems and build on existing skills to by staying in the web development enviornment.

At the end of 2007, Matt left his smaller company for a much larger company and a larger salary and worked on web-based, failure reporting and corrective analysis system, previously coded in Visual Basic 6. Matt's job was not only to convert the code to VB.NET, but also to add a new drill down chart component (based upon a dashboard), and new AJAX-based popup dialogs. The charting component also allowed the user to drill-down on any subset of data, which would then drill down further into more divided subsets of data.

Matt got married in April 2008 and he and his wife are expecting a new baby in September.

In 2010, Matt expects to begin working on his Master's degree in Management Information Systems.
